"How do we get people really to listen to what Christ has told us - without their tuning out because they think they have heard it before or because it has struck them as dull? It will be hard work for us - but God has promised us strength."

The Maximus team works tirelessly to ensure a well-crafted strategic plan for publicity, marketing and outreach is completed and generates positive results placing their client's interests in the spotlight.

Although success in each case is measured with goals unique to each campaign, some of our more visible and notable recent results include:

Getting His Message Out
Responding to the global interest in the life and legacy of John Paul II, the interregnum period in the Catholic Church and the subsequent election of Pope Benedict XVI, Maximus aggressively worked our relationships with the secular media to place our clients in the national spotlight. Topics commonly of interest to faithful Catholics and Christians, but often debated in the popular culture were openly discussed on major networks such as CNN, MSNBC, and FOX News, including such nationally broadcast shows as Hannity & Colmes, Larry King Live, This Week, and Scarborough Country.

Inside the Passion
Maximus developed a custom campaign for Fr. John Bartunek, author of Inside the Passion. Via a multi-city book and lecture tour and media coverage on national shows and publications such as Hannity & Colmes, Entertainment Tonight, Larry King Live and USA Today, Fr. John achieved exceptional exposure for his book that corresponded to the release of The Passion Recut this past Easter.

Kinsey Outreach
Alfred C. Kinsey, the famed sex researcher, was to be lionized by Hollywood in the latter part of 2004 with a major Hollywood movie bearing his name, featuring Liam Neeson and a host of other "A"-list stars. Maximus developed a response campaign for Ascension Press and Catholic Outreach to target the movie and dispel the myths surrounding the "real Kinsey". In conjunction with a mass-media PR campaign, Maximus coordinated education-based protests at several premieres of the film, including Indiana University where Kinsey was a professor in the 1950's. The result was a "bomb at the box office" and the movie's director, Bill Condon, naming Catholic Outreach on NPR's Fresh Air, a leading force in challenging the movie.
